Windows XP - Error 104 when attempting to join a meeting
Note: Windows XP is no longer supported by Cisco/WebEx or Microsoft. Please use MS Vista or newer

Problem
When an Windows XP user is trying to join a WebEx meeting they encounter an error 104 and the attempt to join fails. Usually Error 104 signifies that the installation of Meeting Center has not been successful
(note: Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft and WebEx (officially). It is suggested that the user upgrade to a minimum of Windows Vista. (Byron's note: I recommend a minimum of Windows 7)
Solution
- Click on the link below, it will download a zip file
- Note: running this tool will remove 100% of your current WebEx Meeting Center installation files
- http://support.webex.com/supportutilities/WBXRemoveTool.zip
- Unzip the file
- Run it
- Restart your computer
- Now try joining a WebEx meeting
If unsuccessful, see "temporary" option below
The 104 error message may be accompanied by an option to use a "temporary" file to continue. In most cases this option will work for the current attempt only.
- Click on the "temporary file" link
- Download the file
- Run it
- If it works, the user will be connected to the meeting
