Dear DNC Member,


Pursuant to our rules, this email serves as your 7-day notice for our upcoming 2019 DNC Summer Meeting, August 22nd - 24th, 2019 at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square in San Francisco, CA. 
 
Meeting Schedule
You can find the current tentative schedule here. You can also find the agendas for the caucuses and councils here. As always, this is subject to change and we will notify members if and when it does change. 

RSVP
If you haven't done so, we kindly ask that you let us know if and when you will be attending the meeting here. Sending in your RSVP will help us better plan for your arrival in San Francisco, CA and get all the necessary materials ready for you,

If you have non-DNC Members looking to attend the meeting, we are asking folks to RSVP through the public RSVP link, which you can find here. Online registration for the general public does not guarantee a seat to any session at the DNC Meeting. Admission will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity has been reached.

Proxy
Should you be unable to attend any portion of the Summer Meeting, you can fill out a proxy form here.

As a reminder, you must fill out a proxy for every individual meeting you plan on missing and the proxy must be designated to another member of the same body. If you cannot attend the meeting, a proxy must be submitted by 5:30 p.m. PT the day prior in which the proxy is to be executed. Onsite proxies will be accepted up to 30 minutes prior to the meeting starting. Members who have to leave the hotel after a meeting has started can submit a proxy prior to leaving.

Panel
Please join us for a Panel Discussion during the DNC Summer Meeting:  Election Integrity in the Age of Polarization: Safeguarding the Right to Vote
The panel will be held on Thursday, August 22 at 4:00 p.m. in Franciscan A.
 
The purpose of this panel is to learn how State and party leaders are addressing election security and integrity issues related to voting rights. Panelists will answer questions ranging from voting machine security and fighting voter suppression  to cultivating bipartisan support to expand access.  Confirmed panelists include:  
DNC Vice-Chair for Civic Engagement and Voter Protection, Karen Carter Peterson
California Secretary of State, Alex Padilla
Michigan Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson
DNC Chief Security Officer, Bob Lord

Resolutions
Pursuant to our rules, please find the resolutions that were submitted by the 21 day deadline for consideration at our upcoming meeting here.  

Party Business
As was notified in the thirty day notice the main items of party business include holding an election to fill the vacancy for DNC Finance Chair and filling At-Large vacancies on the DNC and Executive Committee. Please find the rules for the officer election here, the nominating form here and the nominating statement here. You can find a list of the appointments and their bios here

The Committee will also consider a proposed amendment to the Charter and Bylaws that was properly filed and unanimously approved by the Rules & Bylaws Committee in their meeting on July, 30, 2019, which you can find here
