Call to 2017 DPCA Global Meeting -- 15 Day Announcement (recap)
Democrats Abroad will hold our 2017 DPCA Global Meeting on May 12-15, 2017 at the Association of US Army Convention & Event Center (AUSA) at 2425 Wilson Blvd in Arlington, VA.
There will be pre-meetings on proposed Charter amendments and resolutions, and trainings on Friday May 12. The DPCA Global Meeting will be called to order on Saturday morning May 13 and will end midafternoon on Monday May 15. International officer elections will take place on Sunday May 14.
Regional Meetings will be held May 12, 13 and 15. The Door Knock will be on May 16-17.
A draft agenda for May 12-17 events is attached. This agenda is tentative and subject to change, especially as we finalize time slots for guest speakers. Attendance via WebEx will be possible for all daytime sessions.

Regional Meetings will held at these times:
Americas – Friday May12, 4:00-6:00 p.m. EDT
Asia/Pacific –Saturday May 13, 7:00-8:00 a.m. EDT
EMEA – Monday May 15, noon-1:30 p.m. EDT
Regional Vice Chairs will be elected at these meetings.
On May 16 and 17, DA leaders and members will split into teams of 5-6 to visit staff and elected members of Congress, as well as relevant staff at State Department American Citizen Services, FVAP, the National Taxpayer Advocate, and possibly Treasury and the IRS. Background and leave-behind materials will be provided in advance and on Monday afternoon May 15, we’ll hold a briefing/training session for door knock-ers.
Please look for an email soon from Door Knock Coordinator Jeffrey Cheng asking for your feedback on Door Knock topics and if you plan to participate.
Evening social events are planned for Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings and informal events on Tuesday and Wednesday after the Door Knock.
No meeting fee, however please donate to help with meeting costs
Democrats Abroad meetings are open to any member of Democrats Abroad. We don’t charge a meeting fee, however these meetings incur significant costs to our nearly all-volunteer organization and we urge all participants, whether attending in-person or by WebEx, to donate to help pay the costs. If you are motivated to donate extra, please consider giving to our Travel Fund to help others attend.
