MESSAGE OF THE DAY
1. Trump Lies To Americans as U.S. Surpasses 8 Million Coronavirus Infections
Trump’s chaotic and irresponsible behavior is making the coronavirus crisis worse, with the U.S. surpassing 8 million confirmed cases and approaching 220,000 deaths.
As Trump downplays the virus, the U.S. is facing a third wave of infections.
On Friday, the U.S. recorded more than 70,000 new cases for the first time since July, as 10 states reported record highs.
Americans are dying at far higher rates than in other high-income countries.
Trump is endangering Americans by continuing to lie about COVID-19 while restarting potential superspreader events.
Trump is still undermining and lying about mask wearing, even though universal mask wearing could save nearly 100,000 lives over the next 3 months.
Trump is attacking and silencing scientists.
Yesterday, Trump attacked Biden by saying he will “listen to the scientists” — which is absolutely accurate. By ignoring scientists, Trump has made this crisis worse.
Trump has sidelined Dr. Fauci and other experts on his coronavirus task force and pushed dangerous lies from his unqualified Fox News adviser.
More than 1,000 current and former CDC officers have criticized the Trump administration’s response to the pandemic.
Because Trump delayed relief negotiations, millions of struggling families do not have the help they need and the economy is stalled with tens of millions out of work.
The vast majority of Americans think Republicans in Congress should be focused on COVID relief for struggling families rather than their rushed Supreme Court power grab.
Trump admitted he is delaying relief to working Americans because of his “pride.”
McConnell said Senate Republicans did not support any large deal.
Trump’s proposal does not do enough for small businesses; renters; frontline workers; testing and tracing; families and children; and unemployed workers.

Today is the deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania, Michigan online or by mail, Maine by mail, Alabama, California, and South Dakota.
Voters in Michigan and Maine can continue to register to vote in person, and California voters can provisionally register, through Election Day.
Democrats have a lead in ballots cast so far — we have requested and returned 50% more ballots than Republicans.
Democrats lead Republicans in votes cast in battleground states, with a 60-point lead in Pennsylvania, a 32-point lead in North Carolina, and a 20-point lead in Florida.
Last week, voters in North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas broke records for the number of ballots cast on the first day of early voting.
Today, early voting starts in Florida, Colorado, Alaska, Arkansas, and North Dakota.
Tomorrow is the deadline to request an absentee ballot in Maryland and New Mexico.
The Biden campaign has launched the biggest voter protection program in history: thousands of staff on the ground, lawyers, and poll watchers throughout the states to ensure every eligible voter can vote.
