Schedule: The DPCA Global Meeting will be called to order at 9am Friday morning, May 17th and will end at 5pm on Sunday May 19th, Eastern time. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will be speaking with us first thing on Friday morning, followed by Senator Doug Jones, so we encourage you to attend on Friday as well as the weekend.
A draft agenda is available here. The agenda is tentative and subject to change, especially as we finalize time slots for guest speakers. Attendance via WebEx will be possible for all daytime sessions.
Evening social events are planned for Friday and Saturday evenings. Please check out the dinner options today!
All resolutions to be considered at the meeting, as well as a recording of the Online Resolutions Meeting, are now available on the wiki here. Please review them carefully so that you are ready to discuss them in Washington, D.C. Any questions, please write to the Resolutions Committee Chair Susan Vaillant or Resolutions Secretary Will Bakker at email@example.com.
Charter Amendment Proposals
Please note that bylaws amendments to the Charter already submitted by the body will be considered at the 2019 D.C. Global Meeting. These proposals, as well as the Bylaws Committee report, are available on the 2019 Bylaws Committee's Wiki page.
If you have any questions, email Aaron Kruse, the Bylaws Chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
DPCA Vote Allocation, Voters and Proxies
For the 2019 DPCA Vote Allocation you can download them here. Do ensure your country committee is represented during the weekend. If one of your DPCA members or you may not be able to attend, we recommend assigning proxies. More information and the PROXY form are available here (DPCA Vote Allocations, Voters, and Proxies).
Please donate to help with meeting costs
Democrats Abroad meetings are open to any member of Democrats Abroad. The costs of these meetings are covered by each of us, so we urge all participants, whether attending in-person or by WebEx, to cover your own costs. If you are motivated to donate extra, please consider giving to our Travel Fund to help others attend.
Thank you! And thank you to all who are working to organize these events!
Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
All the best,
Global Chair, Democrats Abroad
